Emory Food Trucks

You’ve just finished a long work week, and you’re about to go to the DUC-ling for dinner. But then you see a food truck at Asbury Circle. The Dooley Dollars start to disappear quickly but the idea of eating soggy salads or chicken that could as well have been rubber is becoming more appealing. The sound of Loaded Burger’s beef sizzling on the grill and Nana G’s chicken and waffles’ maple syrup aroma make it clear that you must choose the Emory Food Trucks.

Loaded Burger: The Loaded Burger offers everything customers would want in a burger, including farm fresh eggs and smoked bacon. According to workers, the Loaded Mac N’ Cheese Burger is the most popular. I fell in love with the tenderness and creamy texture of this cheese from the first bite. The burgers are delicious, but you can’t visit the truck without trying the side dishes. Customers will be glad they stayed for the perfect crispy hand-cut potato chips, seasoned with salt and parmesan and the battered onions rings coated in a savory pastry. Even on hot Atlanta nights, those not as hungry will find the refreshing ice-cold lemonade satisfying.

Nana G’s Chicken and Waffles: Anyone who has fallen for the Emory Food Trucks trap of forgetting that we are in the Deep South, should make a visit to Nana G’s truck as soon as possible. Although I was initially skeptical about the idea of waffles and fried chicken on one plate, I was actually quite pleased with the results. The maple syrup’s sweetness pairs well with the sweet breaded chicken and the crispy waffle makes the dish complete. For those who aren’t as adventurous, you can choose to have just a waffle or fried chicken.

Nectar: Recently recognized by The Huffington Post as one of America’s healthiest food trucks, Nectar has options that are slightly healthier Emory Food Trucks than Nana G’s and Loaded Burger. Nectar offers fresh juices, smoothies, and paninis. This makes it a healthy, delicious, yet satisfying meal. Nectar is well-known for its “flu shot” drink made with lemon, ginger, and cayenne pepper. This is paired with their delicious chicken pesto panini for an unforgettable meal.

Strada Napoli Pizza: The Emory Food Trucks’ large New York audience is a testament to the fact that DUC-ling pizza doesn’t cut the mustard. Some students are especially grateful for the Strada Napoli food trucks that park on campus on nights with poor pizza choices. Wood-fired pizza is available with many toppings, including mushrooms, prosciutto Ham and smoked mozzarella. Customers can’t go wrong with the mushroom and meatball ricotta.
